The items you put in your inventory can be used later in other parts of the room. And all of them will be useful, so you'll have to try to solve the puzzles using items that you've already found. Cube Escape: Seasons is a very good room escape game (which is its own subgenre). It has several different rooms which of course have to be unlocked as you advance.
